Hi! I’m Cheyenne Rosa Thayer.

I’m a website designer & digital marketing expert based in Brooklyn, NY.

I didn’t always market brands from the big apple. My story began on the west coast 27 years ago—back when iPhones didn’t exist and Chia pet commercials were a thing.

I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, California. I was always so fascinated by electronics and the future of technology—perhaps because it was so foreign to my humble beginnings. I spent my days exploring the hills behind my home in the Sutter Buttes and playing the Oregon Trail on our desktop computer. When you grow up in a small farm town, technology is the only way to connect with the rest of the world. My ambitions were born.

I majored in Advertising and Communications at the University of Oregon Journalism School—earning a Bachelor of Science degree. I was so excited by the idea of studying the future of communications and marketing in the digital age. It was the same curiosity that ignited my imagination as a child. I was motivated by the idea of using my computer knowledge to build innovative destinations for brands that could influence people. It was empowering to learn that marketing in the 90’s and early 2000’s had contributed to my issues with self-esteem as a teenager. I didn’t realize how impactful and hurtful advertising could be to the impressionable youth in our society. I am thankful that my advertising education at the University of Oregon focused on ethical marketing practices—I am passionate about using my skills to work against an industry that prays on the insecurities of its consumers. As a woman who has faced her fair share of struggles in the work force, I am also passionate about helping other female business owners reach their full potential.

In 2018, I decided it was time to embark on a new journey and fulfill my dream of living in New York City. I packed up and moved my entire life from the west coast over to Brooklyn, NY. It’s been a long time in the making, and I’m finally here and ready to pursue my career in the most exciting city in the world.
